PERA Investments Overview

The Association's assets are diversified into domestic and international stocks, corporate, government, and international bonds, real estate, and alternative investments.

At the end of 2008, the market value of the investment assets managed by PERA was $29.4 billion.

Investment Policy Goal

The function of the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association is to provide present and future retirement or survivor benefits for its members. The investment function is managed in a manner to promote long-term financial security for our membership while maintaining the stability of the fund.

Sudan Divestment

PERA periodically updates its  “Scrutinized Companies List” as required under Sudan divestment legislation passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Ritter in 2007.
